ADVERTISING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Payment: Payment is due within 30 days of publication. Payment should be made to American Poetry Review, c/o Old City Publishing, 628 N. 2nd St, Philadelphia PA 19123. Tel: 215-925-4390; Fax: 215-925-4371; www.oldcitypublishing.com. We offer a 5% of net discount for advance payment.
Frequency discounts: Advertisers who place two or more ads in a year qualify for frequency discounts as follows: 2 ads = 5%; 3 ads = 7.5%; 4 ads = 10%; 5 ads = 15%; 6 or more ads = 20%. (If ads are of different sizes, the discount will be calculated using the price of the least expensive ad.)
Cash discounts: 5% for advance payment, i.e., payment received by the copy due date.
Commissions: Recognized advertising agencies receive 15% of the net space price.

Ad content: The American Poetry Review reserves the right to reject advertising or request changes in content if the advertising does not conform to the standards of The American Poetry Review.
AD SPECIFICATIONS
General: APR is printed on newsprint using a cold, web-offset process. Dot gain = 30%. Please observe the following general guidelines when preparing ads for publication.
-- Avoid fine type, especially if the type is reversed (light on dark).
-- Avoid dark and low-contrast art and photographs.
-- Photo and art resolutions should be 600 dpi. Resolutions as low as of 300 dpi are acceptable but high quality reproduction cannot be guaranteed.
-- Background screens should be 15% to 20% of black.
Electronic files:
-- PDF files preferred. TIFF or JPEG files are acceptable but reproduce at slightly lower quality.
-- Fonts: Embedded, OpenType (or Type 1) fonts preferred. TrueType fonts require conversion to TIFF for display.
-- Photo and art resolutions should be 600 dpi. Resolutions as low as of 300 dpi are acceptable.
-- Color ads must be CMYK. RGB color is not acceptable. Other ads must be grayscale (black and white).
-- Please make sure that no color coding remains in grayscale ads.
